Re: How many migrants live in Hertford...?

Places change. They always have done and always will. It's naive to expect them to stay the same. Hertford itself has been an attractive place to live and work for a long time now. Serving as a commuter town to London and the life sciences industries throughout Hertfordshire it's been a magnet for p...

Re: Inconsiderate cycling on the footways.

Ok, so I'll take the gender bias out of a commonly used phrase as you don't understand it. Here is my point in simple language I wasn't really looking for a fight, but since you're so keen, here goes... Some people in Hertford ride on the footway (pavement) when it is prohibited to do so (children ...

Re: Inconsiderate cycling on the footways.

Sorry, but if you're not man (or woman) enough to ride a bike on the road in Hertford then you're probably not good enough to ride at all. Well done for identifying the problem. Cycling shouldn't just be for hard men. If roads are only being designed for car users, don't be surprised if you find pe...

Re: Inconsiderate cycling on the footways.

Stevenage's infrastructure was cutting edge once, but it hasn't kept up with the growth further out of town since the 70's. It might be easy to cycle around (some) of Stevenage, but it's even easier to drive. Meanwhile in The Netherlands...

Re: Inconsiderate cycling on the footways.

Maybe people are riding bikes on pavements because Hertford's roads are perceptibly dangerous. If you really want to get cyclists off pavements then have a go at the council for not building any safe cycling infrastructure, rather than the cyclists themselves who have been bullied off the roads by a...

The rationale for 20mph

In my opinion, a 20mph area for Bengeo doesn't go far enough. Every road in Hertford, with the exception of the A414, should be 20mph.
