Re: Ticket Inspector on GA trains

By the way..............an inspector recently told me that they were stepping up on checks into Hertford East and that barriers were to be installed. Hmm, well they'll have to do something to stop people jumping over the railings half way down platform 2 and nipping round the side then otherwise, a...

Latest ticket Stasi behaviour.

The latest ticket Stasi incident for me was beyond belief. On a packed morning train going into Moorgate from Hertford North the Stasi were squeezing through the carriage so I got my Carnet ticket out to show them. The bloke accused me of having written the date on the ticket only because I saw him ...

Re: Ticket Inspector on GA trains

They woke me up yesterday on the way into Hertford East. I had a ticket. There were four Eastern European labourers (well, that's what they looked and sounded like) who couldn't make sense of the ticket machine and in the end gave up. I made them aware that there were inspectors on the train and man...

Re: New look site

Perhaps it is an issue with the browser I am using but it now looks more like a personal blog of photos with some links at the very bottom.

Local issue - trouble with those 'visiting Hertford'.

I know I ought to read the literature from the various candidates for the posts of local concillors. But they lie amongst the flyers for pizzas, home cleaners and pet groomers so perhaps that is why I miss them. I would like to know what efforts they could propose to tackle the situation with childr...

Re: Hartham Common problems. Particularly in school holiday breaks.

Added to this is the group of Hertford teenagers on Hartham common made to line up and hand over cash to some lads from Cheshunt last week. I also recall last summer (school holidays again) some Hertford teenagers out by the river having problems with groups from Cheshunt/Hoddesdon. Hartham and The ...

Hartham Common problems. Particularly in school holiday breaks.

Perhaps it is all too easy to blame the fair though it may not be the cause. But I know that Hertford and Hartham Common and The Meads are a particular attraction for some travelling up to Hertford East, particularly in school holidays. There were many instances last summer with local kids confronte...

Re: Labour Parliamentary Candidate Lacks Credibility

It would appear that she has been spoon fed a few local hot issues and is using the standard 'blame the opposition' tactics.

I'm not sure about her plan for "handing over empty shops to local entrepreneurs". They're not her shops.
