Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

I apologise for the content of this but it needs to be said... I still buy a Mercury most weeks (God knows why) but there it is. Today's H&W edition featured a big piece regarding the rape of a poor 16 yr old in Waltham Cross (I'll let the location of the story pass). There's an old adage in pub...

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

The copy I have got this week features a big piece on page 3 regarding the fortunes of the Harvey Centre and the ads at the bottom contain 01279 phone numbers. Closer inspection reveals that the ident at the top of the page actually reads 'Star'. The corresponding other half page 86 is also from the...

Re: Rushgreen Roundabout Dangerous Congestion

Not totally McDonalds fault - coning off the BP when the tanker turns up can cause chaos, and in my experience it's often around 6pm or so which compounds the issue. Rarely seen this happen in other filling stations.

Turnham Green's a bit of a trek too. Not sure where Hudson is :D

Re: Brickfields Retirement Home plan

Got to say the list of 'in support' names on the East Herts link smells a bit odd. Why would people in Lowestoft,Southend, Thaxted etc. give a toss about a Hertford planning application and feel sufficiently strongly to post their support? And they are just the ones on the first page. There's suppor...
