Ware Road

The parking, traffic and speed in Ware Road is hurting people. Especially between the A10 Viaduct and the Stanstead Road mini roundabout. Last week there was yet another accident requiring an Air Ambulance. What is to be done? https://www.facebook.com/kingsmeadresidentsactiongroup/posts/125945996423...

Re: Enterprise Car Rental Closing

It's one of those things that you understand but also makes no sense. Traffic from the Caxton industrial estate out of town and especially to the A10 shouldn't be going via the Bluecoats roundabout. But at the same time, the industrial estate shouldn't be a rat run for everybody else that just avoid...

Re: A414 Corridor Consultation

Actually, IMHO, there are three main drivers behind the bypass (pardon the pun) - congestion, pollution and the need to make space for the Mass Rapid Transit system. I imagine the biggest driver is congestion. And specifically dealing with it to support all the new housing and cars in the EHDC Dist...

Re: A414 Corridor Consultation

It was a journalist chappie. He pointed out that a major driver for dealing with Gascoyne way is pollution. And the plan is supposed to run till 2033. By which time we'll all be driving electric cars. So the pollution problem will just magically disappear. And driverless cars will mean that the traf...

Re: A414 Corridor Consultation

Too many thoughts about all this, this morning. Mainly, they should stop chasing unicorns around SciFi mass transport systems, unfunded bypasses and so on. And do the small stuff they promised in the 2010 Hertford-Ware urban transport report. Things that might actually make a difference, like provid...

Re: A414 Corridor Consultation

Parts of the EHDC District plan depend on a strategic solution to Hertford and A414 traffic. And the EHDC Infrastructure Delivery plan document is particularly optimistic about this. Transport Hertford Strategic Solution HCC £155,000,000 -£175,000,00 By 2024 Unfunded There is currently no funding ag...
