Elle's Kitchen

We had a really good takeaway from there last night. The food was fresh and tasty it made a nice change from the other takeaways we use in Hertford. Also the delivery wait was only about 25 minutes, a curry normally takes almost an hour and is luke warm. We look forward to using them again, wish we had used them before now.

Am I being over suspicious? New member, new restaurant?

Yes overly suspicious or just weird. It's not a new restaurant it's been there for years and I have never used it. That was my point. And I am not from Thailand.

Buzz......Elle's kitchen has been there for quite some time. I go in at lunchtimes and the food is always fresh and of a good quality. They'll also take an order over the phone for collection. There are a couple of tables in there where you can sit and eat but I find these are often nabbed by the local constabulary at lunchtimes.

There's a rather lame site seemingly stuck in the 90s here: http://www.ellesthaikitchen.co.uk/ does have a menu on, not sure if it's up to date though. Shame that takeawayfever website seems to have died!

Mrs Boon Pan took a few negative comments on here, with people saying it was bought in food and microwaved. This was nonsense. they cooked fresh, they always did. And Elle's kitchen maintain the quality. They will also amend recipes to your taste. They can add flavours or ingredients to their dishes if you ask, a testimony to the freshness of their cooking.

Not really. Although the restaurant may have been there for a while, I am always suspicious of a new member whose first post is in praise of a restaurant, bar, shop, etc. And what has not being from Thailand got to do with it?

I agree elle's kitchen is good. Although when I called once for delivery she seemed suprised i new about it and asked how i got the menu and i had to explain i picked up one of the menus on there door on the way home from work. It does taste fresh though it is a bit pricy compared to a curry. Still cheaper than other thai restaurants in the town. And its great that they deliver seen as there isn't a single chinese in the town that does that - nice to get something other than indian or pizza delivered

I go to Elle's frequently and also the Baan Thitya for their express lunch......less than £7 for their crispy noodles with seafood and less than £6 for other dishes........can't go wrong. http://www.hertford.net/yoursay/topic.php?id=3774&whichpage=3&SearchTerms=baan

We had a takeaway from here on Thursday evening; the food was excellent and was good value too.

we just had a very generous takeaway for 4 from here and it was really nice and tasty. Will definitely return - a firm favourite now that paddyfields has gone!

We had a takeaway, the other Thursday - for the money we paid I'd rather have an indian - not impressed at all! not much meat, noodles were plain and bland . I asked for garlic brocolli and it was just microwaved brocolli swimming in a soy sauce liquid.

how bizarre. One of our dishes was pineapple rice, and i was astounded by the amount of meat in what was a side dish!
