Solar inserts for conservatory roof

Has anyone used a firm (local or otherwise) to install solar inserts into their conservatory roof? We have a large conservatory with a south facing garden & already the heat is stifling in there. Any recommendations for firms or other products used to help reduce heat/glare would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes we did, worked a treat! can't remember the company name, but we just bought the inserts and did the work ourselves (or rather my husband did). It was very time consuming, but we have a huge conservatory, but well worth the effort. slightly warmer in the winter too. will see if i can find the name.

Is this what your looking for? http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=965351&highlight= We looked into it last year, although it looks a good idea we didn't go any further than just looking into it.

I'm glad that someone else here is investigating the problem of a sweltering hot conservatory in summer! Phew! I am also looking into a kind of tinted solar film that is applied (professionally or DIY) either to the exterior/interior glass. Has anyone here tried that?? I am getting desperate now, as we just had yet another quote for blinds for the roof which came in at around the £2,000 mark!*J*
