Unwanted furniture for charities.
Is anyone aware of any charities that collect unwanted large items of furniture. I would rather give the items away to a charity before I use Freecycle or phone the council and pay to have them removed.

Nowt special. A frame for a bunk bed. It's just a shame to have something that works perfectly well heaved into landfill.

Go to the Discover Hertford On-line thread that I have started and 'second' my suggestion if you like.
Failing that, the one near Halfords takes a lot of furniture.

The local Isabel Hospice will take furniture, if you call them they will arrange for a pick up. Soft furnishings must have the triangular swing tag which gives information about the fire resistance of the foam. If that is missing unfortunately they are legally unable to sell it.
If the one that covers Hertford is full there is also a hospice charity in Harlow that does a similar thing.
