Children's Car Seat Hire

Anyone know where we can hire a car seat for a 2 year old? Need it for about a month from the middle of August. Thanks

Personaly i would not recomend hiring a car seat. What do you need it for?? We recently bought a 4th car seat from http://www.kiddicare.com for us to use on a BA flight and then in the car when we get to Norway.

My sister, her husband & little one are coming to stay (they live overseas) and do not want to lug their car seat with them. She asked me to look into it for her. But depending on the price to hire one it may be worthwhile purchasing a brand new one!!

How old is the child. I can probally let you know what seat is needed and where to get it. Have they booked a seat for the child on the plane, as if so, they child can travel in the seat on the plane.

Sorry, I missed your reply for some reason! She is nearly 2. She has a seat only on the return flight. Thanks

hi willow - you may be best to borrow one from someone - do you know anyone who's child has outgrown one? otherwise, you can buy cheap ones see http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3754580.htm for a £30 one...

Hi Bengeobabe - no, don't know many people locally unfortunately. We are hiring a people carrier from Enterprise on Caxton Hill but they don't rent out car seats. I think our best option is to buy one! Thanks

I would highly recommend Nania car seats. Same safety standards but a third of the price in the UK. I believe they are a much bigger brand in France. Heres a brand new seat for £28, and this isn't the cheapest model! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2006-NANIA-BASIC-LUXE-CARSEAT-GIRL-PINK-0-4-YRS_W0QQitemZ180011008334QQihZ008QQcategoryZ66695QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Do an ebay search for nania and you'll see loads. They are also selling them at one of the major UK stores, Groovy Style is Tring. They recommend them too.

It will probably work out cheaper than renting. Good Luck.

Willow If you haven't soretd one, your welcome to borrow our son's seat. He's now in the next size up so it's sitting unused currently.

Flowerbar, that is most kind of you to offer to lend me your son's child seat. My sister has now decided to bring their own after all. Thanks again though :)
