They've only been open two or three working days. In that very short period of time, it's unlikely that many or any people would have taken their PCs in for repair. The shop would probably have to have it for a few days before they could fix it and then the owner would have to go back and collect it and pay. Therefore IMHO it's way too soon to be expecting feedback on their repair service.

I asked if any 1 had taken a PC/laptop to be repaired and if the person had been given a quote for repairs, not if it had been repaired or not. I called in the shop myself and its around 40 pounds to remove Spyware, Malware or a virus, I think I will just try to do it myself.
I will try these links posted from admin last year. http://www.hertford.net/yoursay/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4619

I recently paid over double that to have someone come round and sort out a particularly nasty virus. In the end he had to reset the whole computer to the factory settings. £40 sounds pretty reasonable in comparison.

Was it the same computer as mentioned by you here or before then?

I'd just like to thank admin for the links....my PC succumbed to a particularly devious virus yesterday. Macafee and windows defender couldn't find it. The malaware softwhere sorted it completely.

The gentleman in the Computer Shop is quite knowledgeable I was chatting to him earlier and I wish him great success in his new shop.

Nothing like blatant advertising whilst hijacking a thread about a fledgling business in the town. Well done for that.

I went into the new computer shop for a couple of bits last week, and found the owner friendly & helpful. Particularly good to see a wide selection of good value print cartridges.

Hi All

I just ordered a new computer for work from the computer shop, Adam the owner was really helpful and obviously knows his stuff. I didn't realize but this is Adam's second shop, he started the business 6 years ago with his first shop in Wymondham Norfolk and commutes every day! I will report back on the quality of the system when delivered, but I have every confidence in it and I am also sure the shop will be very successful in the town.

Good luck Adam and keep up the enthusiasm.

He will need more than luck if he is doing a near 200 mile round trip everyday-he will need a shrink!

I got one delivered and set up last Friday (my previous PC is five years old but will remain networked until I complete the transfer of applications).

Mostly I'm very satisfied with the kit and the delivery and set up. A few teething problems with a printer driver and using Thunderbird mail client (I decided to make the jump to 64-bit Windows 7), but all working now.
