As 2003 draws to a close, thoughts turn to celebrations for the New Year.

The following town centre pubs have confimed their arrangements as follows:

• The Stonehouse Tickets £10 from the bar, provisionally open until 1am
• Baroosh Tickets £20 from the bar, includes a free drink and canapés
• The White Hart Tickets £5, open until 2am
• The Blackbirds Tickets £3 on the door, "Grease" theme
• The Duncombe Arms Tickets £10 from the bar, open until 3am
