Robbery at Building Society

Three robbers struck at the Bradford & Bingley Building Society in Market Place on Tuesday morning.

Three men walked in to the Building Society at 11:30am yesterday morning and threatened staff before leaving with a large sum of money from the safe. No weapons were used and nobody was hurt.

The men are described as black and in their late teens and early twenties.

Detective Sergeant Mark Monteiro who is leading the investigation said: "This was a very frightening experience for the members of staff involved and we are determined to find and arrest those responsible.

The investigation is still in its early stages and we are urging anyone who saw these men before or after the incident to let us know straight away."
