Kingsmead Pre-School was established in January 1991. It is a 26 place pre-school with five members of staff,
four of whom are qualified and registered with Ofsted. The pre-school is registered with Ofsted as dictated by The
Children Act of 1989. We know that for many children this will be their first big step away from home and we take
a lot of time to make sure that they are happy. We give your children the chance to make friends, to explore and
experiment through a variety of play activities.
The aim of the pre-school is to provide a warm, caring environment in which the children can learn to get along
with others, gain independence and self-confidence and learn new skills while having fun.
We are open four mornings a week, Monday - Thursday, from 9.00 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. A lunch club is now up and
running Monday-Thursday from 11.30am until 1.15pm. The sessions are for children between 2 years 10 months and
4 years. Please call Sam O'Leary, the pre-school leader on 01992 550024 during session times to request an enrolment
form. There is no age limit to enrol your child as we have an on-going waiting list. We will contact you the term
before your child's third birthday to ensure your place is still required. At the same time we will arrange a
visit for you and your child and send a full set of pre-school forms
