Traffic Management:
Roadworks Ahead

Yet more traffic disruption is due to hit Hertford with roadworks scheduled both before and after Christmas.

In addition, motorists are still enduring delays at the Bluecoats roundbout and at the junctions of Mill Road and Ware Road, with motorists facing rush-hour queues back to Gallows Hill. Contractors Mouchel TSC are currently working on re-configuring the traffic lights following the introduction of a new system recently.

From Monday 18th November, Railway Street will be closed to traffic between The Lord Haig and Dolphin public houses for a period of a week to allow gas main replacement near Hertford East Station.

From Monday 20th January 2003, Ware Road will face disruption as overnight resurfacing takes place. The work is expected to take a month.
