Hertford Fun Day 2001

Hertford Carnival is this year replaced by a Fun Day on 1st July organised by Hertford Town Council. The new event will feature the slogan "Let's Have A Party" and have a Victorian theme.

The event was announced after a meeting between the town council, Hertford & District Round Table and local businesses, including Jonathan Burge, new chairman of the town's Chamber of Commerce.

The traditional float parade will be replaced by a walking parade and may include a funfair in the town centre.

The new event was announced after the carnival's organiser Adrian Howles, of Hertford Round table, stepped down.
