This year's annual Garden Festival in the Castle Grounds takes place on Sunday 13th September 2009 from 11am to 5pm.

The annual event, organised by Hertford Town Council and now in it's eighth year, includes a horticultural show, a local produce marquee and the Hertford In Bloom awards.

The event also features garden exhibits, morris men and a gardeners' question time.

Entertainment will be provided by Freeman's New Orleans Happy Jazz Band, whilts for the children there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, a Punch and Judy show and exotic animals.

Nearby at the Millbridge Rooms there will be an exhibition by Hertford Art Society, which will feature presentations to the winners of the council's calendar competition. Copies of the calendar will be on sale at the Tourist Information Centre Stand in the Castle grounds.
