Hertford Art Exhibition

Hertford Art Society is staging its 59th Annual Open Exhibition at Cowbridge Halls between Sunday 1st and Saturday 14th May 2011.

The two-week exhibition features over 300 works of art and sculpture and is open daily from 11am to 8pm with free admission.

The exhibition takes place at Cowbridge Halls, which is just a few minutes walk from the town centre.

Works on show include paintings, collages, digital images, prints, sculpture and fused glass.

A number of prizes are awarded during the show, including Best In Exhibition, Best Picture by a Member, Best Piece of 3D Work and Best Abstract Artwork.

Hertford Art Society was formed in 1953 and the annual exhibition attracts entries from all over the country. Regular contributors include local artists Trevor Chamberlain, Robin Mackervoy and Ronald Maddox.
