Hertford Art Exhibition
Hertford Art Society is staging its 55th Annual Open Exhibition at Cowbridge Halls between Sunday 6th and Saturday 19th May 2007.
The two-week exhibition features hundreds of works of art and sculpture and is open daily from 11am to 9pm with free admission (Sun 6th May 1pm-4:30pm, Sat 12th 10am-9pm, Sun 13th 11am-4:30pm, Sat 19th 10am-1pm).
This is the first time that the exhibition has been held at Cowbridhe Halls, which is just a few minutes walk from the town centre. In previous years the event has been staged at The Corn Exchange, but has relocated after doubts about the Corn Exchange's availability.
Hertford Art Society was formed in 1953 and the annual exhibition attracts entries from all over the country. Regular contributors include local artists Trevor Chamberlain, Robin Mackervoy and Ronald Maddox.
Most of the work on show is available for purchase.
