Next Community Voice Meeting:
Tackling Environmental Crime in Hertford
What can be done to tackle environmental crime in your community? That's the topic of the next Hertford area Community Voice.
The public meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at East Herts Council's offices at Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford, from 7:30-9pm on Thursday, April 10.
Our attractive towns and villages are one of the district's strongest assets, so it's important that action is taken against the minority who spoil the area through graffiti, abandoned vehicles and other environmental crimes. Find out about some of the powers available to the council to tackle the issue and what the community can do to help.
Suzanne Rutland-Barsby, chairman of Hertford Community Voice said: "This will be a useful meeting for anyone who cares about keeping their community clean and tidy. You can find out what action the council can take, and what your own responsibilities are; like disposing of household waste correctly so it doesn't end up on a fly tip."
