Next Community Voice Meeting
The next Community Voice meeting for the town, on Thursday September 8 at Richard Hale School in Hale Road, starting at 7.30pm, will give local residents the opportunity to find out about some of the facilities available in the locality.
You will be able to find out the results of a review of open spaces, carried out last year by consultants employed by East Herts Council. This looked at existing areas of open space, sports and recreation facilities in the district. The review aimed to find out whether there was enough of it, whether it's in the right place and if it's good enough to meet current and future needs.
Ian Richardson from the newly launched East Herts VOCAL (Voluntary Organisations Community Advice and Learning) project will also be at the meeting to give information on the advice, training and support they can offer to voluntary and community groups.
Cllr Suzanne Rutland-Barsby, chairman of Hertford Community Voice said: "We are lucky to live in an area with a number of open spaces for people to
enjoy on their doorsteps. I hope local residents will take this
opportunity to find out more about the facilities available to them."
