Hertford Funday 2004
This year's Hertford Funday took place on Sunday 6th June in the town centre and in the Castle Grounds.
This year's event again saw the integration of Classic Bus Day, which featured vintage coaches and buses providing free trips in and around the town, as well as further afield to towns such as Stevenage, Hatfield, Ware and Broxbourne.
The main theme of this year's Funday was the 1940s, with particular reference to the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

The day officially started at midday, with Hertbeat FM providing music in Salisbury Square and in The Castle grounds. There was a school pageant at midday in the castle grounds and the McMullens dray left The Brewery at about 12.15 with the Mayor and Face of 2004 aboard. Around 12:45 The Battle of the Young Bands got under way in Salisbury Square. There was also a Rodeo Bull in Bircherley Green and Running Bungee in the Castle.
All roads into town were closed except for residents and emergency vehicles.
