Beer Festival
Hertford's first Beer Festival took place in the grounds of Hertford Castle during the Jubilee weekend.
The festival was organised by Hertford Town Council and accompained by fine weather, together with large numbers of people keen to sample the many beers available straight from the barrel.
The event was opened by the new Mayor Alan White on Saturday 1st June and featured 60 ales, plus cider and perry, from both small and large breweries from around the country. Beers included Spitting Feathers, Gold & Delicious and One For The Throne. There was also live music, hot food, tours of The Castle and a Hornby train exhibition.
