Classic Bus Day

Hundreds of people enjoyed fine weather and free bus rides on Sunday 10th September 2000 as 22 classic buses of past decades operated out of Hertford Bus Station for the day.

The fleet of period vehicles ran some of their old routes to such places as Ware, Great Munden, Knebworth, Chapmore End and Welwyn.

The event was organised by Colin Rivers, a member of the RT/RF Preservation Society and was sponsored by local bus company Arriva and brewers McMullens in aid of local heritage.
