I hope so, and it better be 24hr - It'll mean I wouldn't have to get that post 11pm panic when I'm in London!newgirl wrote:Just seen the bottom left image - is the Underground being extended to Hertford then??
Saying that, I'm now told the Jungle Bar has a 3am licence....

Is it quiz time to name the significance to Hertford for each of the images?james wrote:Now updated. Marginally better. Still racist.

I'm telling you all, it's a post ironic joke; a wind-up #ArtTrolls fulling outrage, and reading this with their hoppy bears and handsome beards laughing at the reactions
Surely it is.

Get over it, it's ancient history

I'm struggling to see the racism ?james wrote:Now updated. Marginally better. Still racist.
Am I so institutionally racist that I can't even see it ?
Do I need to re-evaluate my race ?

Me too tbh. Presumably the image apparently causing offence is supposed to be one of the Kgnights Templar? Or they weren’t quick enough to get a picture of the statue on Elbert’s wall before demolition and had to make do?Smudger wrote:

Like others I’m puzzled by the train and what’s the ‘evolution of man’ thing about (although to be fair there’s a few Neanderthals about in town on a Friday night)
They could have had the decapitated statue in St Andrew St and the ‘piles of rubbish’ after the music festival too.

"Alfred Russel Wallace was a British naturalist, explorer, geographer, anthropologist, and biologist. He is best known for independently conceiving the theory of evolution through natural selection; his paper on the subject was jointly published with some of Charles Darwin's writings in 1858.This prompted Darwin to publish his own ideas in On the Origin of Species.
....
When Wallace was five years old, his family moved to Hertford. There he attended Hertford Grammar School "

I'm not denying that. But if you think religious extremists conducting genocide in the middle east is worth "celebrating" then by all means let's hear your argument for it.Smudger wrote:Get over it, it's ancient history
