FYI: Virgin Media Customers - Speed Upgrade (Free)

Post by jackanapes » Sat 31 Jan, 2015 10:33 am

The long promised and awaited speed upgrades have actually happened in Hertford. To get the new speeds you have to "Order" the new service, to do this you need to login to VM website to get to your "My Virgin Media" page, on that page is a "Supercharge your broadband" under that is a "Find Out More" button, press that and it'll take you to the "Supercharge" page where you can "order" it. It's free just in case you hadn't picked up on that.

No doubt.

Just got the receipt and confirmation, it doesn't explicitly say I've signed up for a new deal but it kind of looks that way, although if I have I'm a bit disappointed that it's all so stealthy.

We got ours bumped from 60Mb to 100Mb last summer. Virgin didn't explicitly tell us, it just happened. You've probably had higher speeds yourself for a while, just not noticed.

VM customers have a new upgrade in the area that you'll have to apply for and gives 100+Mbs - they've been keeping it a bit quiet but its good.
