Hertford market

Where's it gone!

Maidenhead Street used to be full on Saturdays, and now I think there's only one stall left that puts watch batteries in for you. Is it just part of the continuing trend of diminishing town centres?

:(

I should imagine the high winds/driving rain put a few stallholders off opening up last Saturday morning

I'm hoping to breathe a bit of life to Hertford Market with my new business ST8MNT Hertford. I'm going for the image of a Camden Market stall... something edgy for Jewellery and Cosmetics and geared towards the 18-30 age group. I'll be selling a range of both fashion costume jewellery and alternative lines such as Body Jewellery and also Hair pieces, extensions, colours and Cosmetics. Claire's accessories and Artico have both closed so I hope to fill in the gaps and generate more interest in the market in general. Wish me luck!

Good luck! Whilst I am not in your target group being, ahem, slightly older, , there are plenty of people who do fit the bill and the more diversity in stalls the better.

When are you opening? I shall try and encourage people to visit your stall.

Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for your kind comments. I started in April and I'm doing really well!
I make costume jewellery, so I also repair it and have many customers now, younger and older who frequently use the repairs service. I'm selling unique handmade pieces and now stocking some exclusively imported jewellery from Spain at very reasonable prices too. Hopefully I'll see you all sometime, please introduce yourselves and don't forget if you have a broken item of jewellery you want restored please bring it down! Thanks :)

That is good to hear!

I am rarely in Hertford on Saturdays due to other committments but I will look out for you on the rare occasions I am there. I will also tell a few of my friend's daughters.

I wish you continued success.
