Crave no more
Walked past Crave this morning and it's vanished. Apparently the place is being turned into Il Vino Deli.
Re: Crave no more
Because we need another deli.
Re: Crave no more
and because another deli in the same shop as one that closed after 3 months is bound to thrive.
Re: Crave no more
Do these people ever research an area before deciding we NEED a 4th of the same type of thing???
Re: Crave no more
There is evidence that suggests that grouping the same sort of shops together attracts customers.
Think of Hatton Garden, Saville Row, China town etc.
Am not sure it applies to Hertford delis though

By "these people" do you mean Il Vino opposite, who are rumoured to be opening the deli?Sudi wrote:Do these people ever research an area before deciding we NEED a 4th of the same type of thing???

l mean anyone opening any type of business be it hair salons, coffee shops, delis or whatever. l would have thought that a diversity of shops would be more appealing.

Apologies, I thought you meant this specific venture.Sudi wrote:l mean anyone opening any type of business be it hair salons, coffee shops, delis or whatever. l would have thought that a diversity of shops would be more appealing.
It certainly does appear that a lot of retail businesses open without a proper business plan or any research. I spoke to one new business owner recently who didn't know what a USP was.

USP? He didn't know how to charge his Mobile...?
Re: Crave no more
What we need is one decent deli, instead of one average deli and a clutch of places that sell two or three types of vinegar.Ewoowar wrote:Because we need another deli.
