After many years in development (with only a couple of buildings and access road being constructed), it looks like firmer plans are now in place. I missed the exhibition at the village hall but found all the planning information via the following link

Planning permission was granted in 1997. This is just an amendment. I don't see how it represents "firmer plans".

I would have thought that the provision of more detail on the planning documents and a presentation open to villagers last week would constitute “firmer plans”. Apologies if this does not meet your definition Steve

Would be interesting to see if this happens before chadwell springs renovation completes.

At least work has started on chadwell spring.

Can anyone tell me when green belt/farm and agricultural land became allowed to propose a leisure facility such as a golf course?

I've just seen this http://www.hertfordheath.com/wp-content ... Course.pdf" target="_blank
Looks like initial refusal of the revised plans, mainly due to the proposed landraising

Work seems to have kick started again over the last month, initially with what appeared to be drainage trenches dug at various points along the fields nearest the road, and since then most of these fields have been heavily dug out - landscaping? Maybe there will be golf course there one day!

Or maybe gravel extraction as was undertaken on the B1000 without approval.

You may be right Ewoowar, went past the area today, and just a passing look though the hedging just before reaching the war memorial, I saw what looked more than just landscaping, more of what you said, gravel extraction, anyone ?
