Incitement to riot in Sele

Postby Darcy Sarto » Wed 11 Dec, 2013 4:13 pm

I know there are differing opinions on the merits of Sele Farm but the (excellent) butcher in Sele is taking a risk displaying a sign that says "Local Peasants" :geek:

There's a shop in Sele Farm selling pheasant? This Sele Farm place sounds a bit lah-di-dah.

I don't think he's expressing any opinion. It's just a pun and if anything more is read into it then I think you're missing the point. Besides, the world's full of people expressing opinions. A few less would be nice.... in my opinion. :P

Picketts have done this every year, there was a thread on the old forum.

Best Butcher's shop in Hertford (in fact, is it the only one now?)

Doesn't matter if its the only one. Best for miles around and not "poncey". Good meat and nice pies too!

I think we're in the wrong forum.

Quite! Mrs Toad and I regularly partake of Pickett's p(h)easants. Very nice they are too!
