Does anyone have any insider knowledge as to why all the businesses in The Marquee shopping centre closed down and why no other businesses have since moved in?

Why would you need insider knowledge?

Firstly, it has never been fully let out since it was first built. I don't recall any more that four businesses at any one time being there.
Secondly, the location is disconnected from other retail premises.
Thirdly, it's a decrepit eyesore.

I really can't understand the mindset of the owner who has allowed it to fall in to such a dreadful state of disrepair. No-one is going to be interested in a squalid, crumbling building like this at the best of times, let alone in the current retail envrionment and at this location.

FWIW the last business to close - Prontaprint - did so because the proprietors retired.
