At about 11.30 a.m there was a fire engine and police at the roundabout where Gascoyne Way & London Road meet . There was a car which appeared to have been jacked up, but no ambulance. Anyone know what happened?

The Mercury report gives no more information than Buzz....

We went past at 11.40 and could only see one vehicle there and it was jacked up on 4 jacks. We were wondering why it was too.

One person was receiving medical attention but was upright and sitting passenger seat.

The HFRS control twitter feed only states what has already been stated. Are you sure the car was jacked as that is quite unusual but it would be common to chock and block all four wheels to prevent the vehicle moving on the suspension if someone was in the vehicle receiving medical aid and the medics were worried about a neck injury.

There were four blocks under the vehicle, two behind the front wheels and two in front of the rear wheels, black in colour and the car seemed lifted but they could very well be just stopping the car from moving rather than actually lifting the car.

The person in the passenger seat was receiving medical aid and was wearing a neck brace.
