Beane Road

Post by gemipicorn » Fri 07 Feb, 2014 4:43 pm

Just a word of warning, although passable at the moment, The junction of Beane Road, Molewood Road, Nelson Street & Port Vale is now a fast flowing Brook. The river has reached across all the field and it looks like another drain cover has turned into a water feature.

The wife got asked to leave courtyard arts this afternoon as the river had burst its banks. The photos Hertford Theatre have posted on facebook looks like the Lee is about to go as well.

Wow with more rain set to fall in the next few days we could see Hertford completley flooded like the photos someone posted a while back from 20 years ago.

Wife said it's back on now. Must have been a surge. Apparently Molewood is being eqvacuated as i type. Friends of ours house is currently being flooded and they are in the process of helping people out of their houses.

Just been down for another look at Beane Road. It's knee-deep at the Beane Road/Molewood Road junction now. Cars and pedestrians are turning back...
