Has anyone been to the Dirty Donkey and what are their views on it?

I haven't but a close friend has a couple of times and she raves about it and keeps trying to get us all to go.

I’ve eaten in the upstairs dining area four times now - midweek so not been downstairs to the bar which is open at weekends.
In my opinion it’s a good addition to the town’s dining scene though admittedly the casual dining vibe of the place may not be to everyone’s taste.
It’s designed to feel like you’re at a roadside taco van (in fact the kitchen at the back of the dining area is based inside one!) so plates are tin, glasses plastic and tables are quite packed in.
Small but decent menu of Mexican food including tacos, enchiladas and quesadillas with a variety of sides and icecream (from Dawlicious at Hertford Heath) for dessert. Good beers. Service on every occasion has been friendly and good.
Definitely worth a go for something a bit different in my humble…
