Not sure where you get that score from. The current hygiene rating, as per photograph on Trip Advisor is 4

Just a bit uneasy with it's relatively low food hygiene rating of only 2.
With such a good choice of restaurants in town, anything rated lowley 1-2 is off limits as far as im concerned....

I don't think that the food hygiene rating has been updated as the current rating of 4 was given in February 2014

Whilst understanding people's concern re hygene I've never felt uncomfortable with Dil's & it's still my favourite Indian style resteraunt of the many in Hertford although I've yet to try The Ruby.

Based on this thread, we ordered a delivery from Dil's on Saturday night and it was fine. Delivered in good time and good food. Not my favourite local Indian but my favourite doesn't deliver and Dils Delivery was considered better than driving to our preferred restaurant.

I'm a Dil's regular. Mainly for takeaway and so when on a night out for a curry my mates often think their curry house is best and I'm prepared to give them a go. Each and every time I've tried a different place in Hertford it doesn't compare to Dil's. Great fresh food and nice waiters.

The only downside I think is the decor. It's a bit bright and orange. A bit more of a traditional Indian decor would be nice. But, I put food above everything else which is why I'll always prefer Dil's to others.
