I would be interested to hear opinions please, thinking of booking for a special birthday possibly 20 people. Thank you.

Went a few times immediately post opening and a couple of times since. Perfectly good for short menu standard Italian fayre. Good tasty food and attentive service. Not had a bad experience.

Limited space so not sure conducive to large parties but they will know better than I what can be accommodated sensibly.

I have only been once, a bit spur of the moment on a Saturday afternoon, so not particularly busy when we arrived but full when we left.
As Darcy Sarto said, they have a standard Italian menu, which proved very popular with all of my family group (aged from 16 to 70)
The thing that stood out was the great welcome and the service throughout the meal. It makes you wonder why other places can't do it.
I got the impression it might be family run?(but not certain). I guess this could make the difference.
I would definitely recommend that you give it a try, and suggest you book a table

We had a lovely meal last Wednesday night got in at 7pm and by 8.30 it was packed!! I don't know of many restaurants that are packed on a cold wet Wednesday night at the end of January!!

I'm not likely to turn up anywhere on a special birthday with 20 or more people without booking a table.

We went a few weeks back and the food was really lovely, only downside was the volume of very drunk people at other tables and a large group arriving and having nowhere to stand but to loiter around the tables in the front section of the restaurant, looming over those diners who were half way through their meal. Love to go back but would aim for a table at 7.30/8ish rather than 9 to avoid the drunk groups. Although i must say the staff handled it well.

We ate at Ilvinos again last week and the service and food are still excellent and reasonably priced. It's a real pleasure to go somewhere where the staff understand customer service and get the balance right. Always atentative but not in your face.

We have been here a number of times following others recommendations (posts on the old Forum site) - good food at a very reasonable price & one of our regular haunts. Remember to book reasonably we'll in advance if you are looking for Friday or Saturday evening.

I think promotional offers for places like this can be a great help ("two for one" or "a free bottle of vino for a table of four or more".

Tuesday night be a be a good time to try this!

(posted in the hope the proprieters will be reading this before I get in there on tuesday).... :D ;)
