I think I can see a snag here Admin. No one can actually post anything of substance until we post unassuming b*****ks for the rest of the week...

....and the difference would be? Sorry - uncalled for I know but I'm busy accumulating 10 posts so I can continue not recommending things

Serious point here. There is no right of reply for business owners unless they are established members with 10 posts. Some members appreciate it if the posts are answered by the proprietor. Any thoughts?

It's only recommendations by new members that are not allowed. A proprietor's response is not a recommendation. The same applies to asking for recommendations. However, I appreciate that the mechanisms currently in place may need review. Thank you for your input.

Admin - I thought you said in answer to my previous post in another thread that I was unable to make a post asking for a recommendation? Certainly it seems that way as I cannot see the "new topic" option?

Sorry, Im sure it wasn't there before but I can now see the "new topic" option so looks like I can post asking for recommendations. Just might not be able to get many responses for a while!

As the new forum beds in and we receive feedback, you may find that things get tweaked here and there
