And on Friday...

Post by JohnSmith » Fri 20 Dec, 2013 3:03 pm

...it is a number of drivers deciding not work their rest day which means First Capital Connect's timetable falls apart.

Including this little gem:

16:59 Stevenage to Moorgate due 18:03
More info
This train will be terminated at Hertford North.
This train will no longer call at Bayford, Cuffley, Crews Hill, Gordon Hill, Enfield Chase, Grange Park, Winchmore Hill, Palmers Green, Bowes Park, Alexandra Palace, Hornsey, Harringay, Finsbury Park, Drayton Park, Highbury & Islington, Essex Road, Old Street and Moorgate.
This is due to a member of train crew being unavailable.

As far as I am aware these trains have just a driver on board, no other staff. If the member of the train crew (i.e. the driver) is unavailable, how will it get from Stevenage to Hertford North?

Hmm FCC are certainly excelling themselves.. Oh to have the WAGN days again when their initials stood for "We are Going Nowhere" at least they would just cancel a train and not dissect it in such detail...
