Not sure if it's good news or not really. At the weekend KGX is far more convenient!

Definitely handy for weekend Arsenal games and nights out in the City.

Drayton Park won't be open 2 hours before and 2 hours after weekend Arsenal games.

No handier for Arsenal and potentially less handy for "nights out" as not a great deal of fun and games is to be had in the city at weekends compared to "up west". Catching/waiting for an evening train is marginally better at Kings X where there are some facilities as opposed to the "convenient walk through" at Highbury and Islington (it's an underground platform - no pasties). :(

Okay, handier for a night out on Upper Street or a gig at somewhere like The Sebright Arms - both which I personally prefer to a night out in the West End. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Each to their own...

These mass transit systems really stifle individuality ;)

First day of the new timetable has started off in the worst way possible with what seems like every train being cancelles!

GN Rail's twitter feed has cited "staff shortages".

Was it the drivers' Christmas party last night?

Not a big fan of this change.

Who are these 'stakeholders' they speak of.

I would imagine that most weekend and late weekday passengers will be enjoying the delights of the west end, rather than Moorgate.

Could it be that a zone2 capitalcard is costs more than a zone 1 and that Great Northern keep the difference?

No. It is the product of years of deliberate understaffing to increase the profits to the TOCs.

It's this sort of facetious remark which lets them get away with it.
