Odd looking aircraft

Postby buzz » Sat 26 Jul, 2014 4:13 pm

Did anyone else notice a strange looking aircraft over Bengeo this pm? It was a prop driven monoplane with seemingly the one engine mounted on the starboard wing. It was larger than a light aircraft and was tracking roughly north east.

The Catalina returning to Duxford flew over yesterday pm - it could have been that

We saw this too and also noticed the fact it seemed to only have one engine on one side. Very odd. It was flying very slowly (perhaps due to the lack of engines?!). Did look like the plane in the photo but for the apparent lack of a second engine on the other wing
