The thing is...I don't really want to get too serious about it. I bought the kayak so I could have some fun mucking about with the kids every now and again. All this club/license/membership business is a bit too organised and bureaucratic for my liking.
I contacted Fairlands Valley in Stevenage and, for a small launch fee, I can take the kayak on the lake there without any license or membership, so I think I'll just do that for now. Not as much fun as the river, though.
