Re: Phones 4U
Carphone Warehouse have recently merged with Dixons - now Dixons Carphone - and their share price went up as a direct result of Phones 4U going into administration. Financial Analysts have estimated that their profits could also jump by 10%. What is not widely reported is that the network operators ...

Re: A414 Road resurfacing
Its also a real pain when you are trying to cycle on it and can be quite dangerous at times.

Re: Old Cross Closed
We popped to Ware to grab a takeaway on Sunday night and drove there via Ware Road but came back through Bengeo so were a bit stumped to suddenly find out it was closed (we arrived back from our Summer holiday at lunchtime so out of the loop on local news). We didn't want to drive all the way back ...

Re: Waitrose rumour
I understand that Waitrose are canvassing customers today as to their views if the store in Hertford was to close....
Will take a wander down later and give my opinion.

Re: The Farmer's Boy - Brickendon
It's not a pub I have been to very often, but the times I have, I have usually eaten there and always found the food to be good, with nice pleasant service too. Let's hope that whoever takes over can match the previous standards.

The Farmer's Boy - Brickendon
Coming to the end of a long cycle ride this morning, I fancied a quick refreshment before rolling down the hill to Hertford. Pulled up at the Farmer's Boy only to discover that it is 'closed until further notice due to circumstances beyond our control'!!!!!! :o Up for lease by Enterprise Inns at a w...

Re: Tyres
Kwik fit are indeed good on price, but they have that reputation about suggesting unnecessary work for a reason. So as long as you know what you're doing with them, and play the game, then you can protect yourself. Used them for 10 years - mainly the Hertford branch but also Welwyn for brakes and M...

Re: Tyres
I use Kwik Fit.
Never had a problem with them in terms of suggesting I need other work done.
Also their on line pricing is as good as anybody else.
