Re: Bircherley Green Redevelopment 2016
How ironic that Cllr Michael Freeman said the plans should go ahead to save the site from "languishing in its current 1970s state, reminiscent of a couple of new towns not a million miles away" yet they agree to build something that looks exactly like the waterfront development in Harlow. Its a real...

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury
I don't get it either but I think I've read it in Castlegate surgery or Serendipity. I'm near the town centre if that makes any difference - maybe 4 or 5 minutes walk from Marks and Spencers so relatively central. Its certainly not a publication I would rely on for "whats happening" events being a m...

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury
The only thing I use it for is the Twitter traffic reports. The website is virtually unusable with its pop up adverts and fake surveys. I do find that I miss events sometimes though as there doesn't seem to be anywhere pulling together a "Whats On" section and it used to be good for that in the olde...

Re: Musical Mystery Tour 2017
Well, I didn't stick around long enough to find out if there was an intervention from the Hertford club or not. I had my elderly parents with me so we left as soon as we heard what was being sung. He seemed to have got to the end of the song without any interference though. I'm sure the organisers w...

Re: Musical Mystery Tour 2017
It was great to see so many people of all ages out enjoying the sunshine. The only sour note for me was the middle aged singer at the Hertford Club singing Chas n Dave style stuff liberally sprinkled with the F word. Several horrified parents couldn't wait to get their children out of the gate. Not ...

Re: Old Walters Garage Houses
They seem to be building two rows of houses on the part of the site nearest the old building. They look like they are about 5 metres from each other so lets hope the residents don't need any natural light and get on well with the neighbours !! I cant even work out where there will be space for the t...

Re: Rock At The Castle 2017
Sorry Steve, I cant get this vision of Sele and Simon Balle children holding out begging buckets to see if anyone has any money left after buying their entry tickets to benefit Richard Hale . Preferably in Dickensian costumes
