Re: Travellers
Saw them driving up Mill Road around 8:30pm. I wondered where they'd pitch up.

So it's the District Council that are throttling the town centres with exorbitant business rates and deterring shoppers with expensive and impractical parking schemes, whilst the Town Council put the Christmas decorations up?

Re: Hertford Cameras closing
Not in the least bit surprised. A good example of a business that has completely failed to adapt to the modern retail environment. They don't even have a website. If I was a cynic...

Re: Waitrose rumour
There is a post on spotted saying Waitrose is closing in Hertford and a new one is being built as part of Van Hagues. Complete twaddle. Anyway Steve, as to my original post wich you dismissed: hmmmmmmmm! Half twaddle, I'll give you that. However, at the time of the original post there was absolutel...

Re: Waitrose rumour
Slightly surprised they're thinking of a large store at VH as I wouldn't have thought planning permission would be easy for an out of town store - even though its on the site of an established retail outlet a supermarket is different to a garden centre, I'd imagine some of the locals may be quite u...
