Re: Waiting at Hertford North
I looked at website too and couldn't see anything. On the board it said something about waiting places, I forget the exact workind, but it was something like "If there are waiting places, you could use these for 5 minutes". But we couldn't see any, the board could have been a standard board with sta...

Waiting at Hertford North
Every now and then, maybe twice a month, my partner picks me up from Hertford North. He always parked in the car park to avoid the chaos on the forecourt but no he noticed that there are ANPR cameras enforcing payments. Whilst I agree with this in principle, he couldn't find out about waiting times ...

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
GTR have said that they will introduce an interim timetable on 15 July. This, allegedly, is one that they say they will be able to run with far fewer issues than the current timetable. Playing devil's advocate, what if this timetable turns out to be something like a weekend timetable where there ar...

Re: Simon Balle All through school Ofsted report
I agree. Whilst my son attended RHS, I have only ever heard good things about Simon Balle. I have never heard bad things about it whilst I have heard some people not liking RHS.

Re: Exiting Hertford North nicely
Apparently they are changing the doors that exit the station which will be good as they are a real bottleneck. They will be sliding doors which should help. I do understand about the phones. I almost always wait on platform til everyone has gone as I hate the crowds, and I get to say hello to Paul, ...

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
It would seem that their weeks of tweeting about us planning our journeys in advance fell on their own deaf ears.
To be fair, I worked from home yesterday so didn't get involved in the chaos and it was ok this morning. Left HFN and arrived at MOG as timetabled.

I avoid that as the entitled ones tend to fill it up.
So I get on the train at Hertford East and have the choice of sitting in a bigger seat with more leg room. I take that choice. Why does that make me 'entitled'?

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
Agreed, it is a more frequent service than HFE (I use both) but it is fewer than HFN has now and it is limited to 6 carriages as the underground platforms are only 6 long.
The HFN service is more crowded (further down the line) already so this may get worse.

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018
Are they all slow stopping services now?
They all seem 51/52 minutes. I sometimes get the 6.45 and sometimes the 6.57 but the difference between the time it takes is noticeable as the 6.57 stops at every station (and sometimes makes up a few new ones ) whereas these are all similar times.
