Great to see good old Hertford receiving so much tv coverage over the weekend.
First, the excellent coverage on ITV4 of The Women's Tour Cycle Race, then last night on C4 For The Love of Cars.
I love the editing in the latter

Cross Road Footpath Replacement
When there are so many unfilled pot holes around Hertford, can anyone explain the logic behind replacing the footpath on Cross Road in Bengeo? The road has been closed every day this week, so the four days work so far has probably been very expensive. Surely the money would have been better spent on...

Re: New Kitchen & installation
We are looking at purchasing a new mid size kitchen and would prefer to have installation available from the people we buy from rather than having to arrange separately. Already looking at Wickes & Wren but are there any other recommendations in the Hertford area? Thanks http://www.cloverkitchens.c...

Archived discussion on the old forum ... http://www.hertford.net/yoursay/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=5734" target="_blank Indeed - thought that something may have been discussed in the past. Mind you, that was 2011 - someone must have some new information by now. However, I agree with Marylyn's...

Dimsdale Street
Has anyone got any information on the status of the land at the rear of Dimsdale Street? I assume that the land and old school are owned by HCC,and I find it strange that this small area has been left to deteriorate so much. The rear of Bob Hill's old premises was recently converted, so I would have...

Re: Old Cross 6-way Traffic Lights
Word has it that the contractors have given up and that the whole set up is being dismantled because of the disruption (Monday 4.30pm) It'll be interesting to know the politics behind this traffic debacle - and when, or if, the work that needed doing will be undertaken. The summer holidays i.e. Augu...

Old Cross 6-way Traffic Lights
A little bit of forethought on behalf of the contractors replacing the gas mains at Old Cross would have been helpful. The queue coming out of Sainsbury's this morning (Sunday) was absolutely horrendous. An extra (carefully programmed) temporary traffic light at the junction of Hartham Lane and Cowb...

Re: Old Cross 5-way Traffic Lights
I am sure you are right I assumed he was a policeman withe the bike and hi viz outfit. He was, indeed, a gentleman from the traffic lights company. I stood and chatted with him as he was setting it all up on Friday. He was as frustrated as I'm sure we all will all be over the coming weeks. A diffic...
