Re: Car Wash
I don't know the name of it..but there's one in Mimram Road, Hertford. A short distance after you turn into the road from the A414 it's on the right. Around £15 to wash and dry the exterior and clean inside thoroughly too. Lovely guys and the car's always sparkling afterwards.

Re: Waitrose at Van Hages
Looks like there's movement on proposals for Bircherley Green. If you go to East Herts Council's website, look under the Council Information heading on the home page for the link to the calendar of meetings. There's one on November 2nd entitled "Bircherley Green Redevelopment Proposals (presentation...

Lots to see, buy and (obviously!) eat - plus open day today and tomorrow at McMullens. Beer and food event too at Hertford Castle likely to entice us into town again tomorr...

Re: The End of Pay & Display
The new system is definitely going to be an improvement and to be welcomed. However, the downside, and something that will affect local businesspeople, is the loss of the current Smart Card facility whereby you pre-load credit on to a card for convenient use for parking. It also brings with it disco...

Re: Dirty Donkey
I’ve eaten in the upstairs dining area four times now - midweek so not been downstairs to the bar which is open at weekends. In my opinion it’s a good addition to the town’s dining scene though admittedly the casual dining vibe of the place may not be to everyone’s taste. It’s designed to feel like ...

Re: Smoky Mojo down, Oishii up
I believe Smoky Mojo is still operating as a takeaway only from a unit to the side of the new Japanese restaurant, which, yes, I hear is Elle from Elle's Thai Kitchen and is set to open at the beginning of June.

Re: Industrial Estate residential and care home
They have an advert on page 8 of the Hertfordshire Mercury for the public exhibition which has a satellite/aerial view of the site in it. By looking at google maps and comparing the buildings it looks like it's the Caxton Hill area.
