I'd agree. An Inquiry is a dead cert. But there's something like 3 years worth of survey, option design work and consultation (including consideration of alternatives) to be done before even an application could be made for Highway and land acquisition powers. And at that point the County would need...

While I think everyone would accept that living in a town which "locks up" twice a day for at least two - three hours is not great, I do feel the County Council have a tricky balance to achiev...

Now that sounds good, if I can get away from work early. from what I understand of new train introduction elsewhere on the network, soft start is definitely the way to go..

Don't know what your timescale is, but this comes round once a year. A reasonably priced will for a donation to a good cause.
