My apologies it was the event that was one day, the new trail is now open, the friends also do special heritage walk days. http://friendsofpanshangerpark.co.uk/ If you have not been its worth going it is a wonderful area to have available now thanks to the work of the friends pushing for it to happe...

The lady in Ashleys is Bahti. It is a family business and they have another shop in Essex. They have lost out to internet shopping and people only thinking of china/crockery in John Lewis etc. It is sad as I have been a frequent customer over the years.

Many of the drivers this will hopefully slow down are those that come in from The Avenue/Bengeo Street junction early in the morning to access Hertford North station. It doesn't matter what they drive they almost ALL drive tool fast round The Avenue and get really upset when they have to slow down/ ...

Had a letter today from the CC to say there is a proposed 20 MPH limit for all the roads on the west side of Bengeo Street/ Port Hill from the Beane Road/Millmead Way junction up through to The Wick/Sacombe Road. Its very sad, Bahti has always been most kind and helpful. I know they have another larger shop in Essex, the one they had in Hoddesdon closed some time ago, they struggle to cope with on line shopping and people only thinking of John Lewis etc and not independent shops. Even some of their suppliers...
