Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

Surprise, surprise, this week's 'Hertford and Ware' Mercury is once again ignoring Hertford and Ware. Front page is a large and unimaginative picture of election candidates (yawn) followed on the next few pages by stories from Cheshunt, Waltham Cross and the ESSEX town of Waltham Abbey. Pathetic.

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

Front page story on this week's 'Hertford and Ware' Mercury (April 4) is from Hoddesdon! If Mercury reporters are unable to find a story from Hertford or Ware that is worthy of a place on the front page of the 'local' edition then perhaps they should consider whether they are in the right job.

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

Flicked through a copy while in Sainsburys and noticed that hardly any estate agents are advertising with them so it seems that it is not only readers who have given up on it. I cannot believe those businesses who still advertise in the Mercury feel they are getting value for money.

Re: "Hertford & Ware" Mercury

Totally agree Steve. I paid £1 for this and I felt cheated. If I wanted news about Cheshunt, Waltham Cross or Waltham Abbey (which isn't even in Herts) I would have bought that edition. It's like buying a box of Cornflakes and finding Rice Krispies inside. Perhaps trading standards should investigat...
