Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018

If you're on twitter, can thoroughly recommend following @garius who explains why the problems on the trains have come about. He's written a fantastic explanation on the issue of drivers - employing, training, poaching. One route that has been introduced requires FIVE different drivers at the momen...

I think the issue is that a roundabout that is already over capacity at peak hours, has had that capacity halved, leading to delays of over an hour. Particularly when you get to the site of the roadworks and no works are actually taking place.

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018

If you don't like the service offered by Govia at Hertford North, you can go to Hertford East and use the service provided by Abellio. The two stations are less than a mile a...

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018

Holy Moly! They are anticipating disruption, due to phasing in of services, until 8 June! The Hertford Loop isn't specifically listed but we've seen wholesale disruption today so it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we will be affected. http://m.nationalrail.co.uk/pj/disruption/details/98...

Re: New timetable from Hertford North - May 2018

Its nothing short of a disgrace that a small village service like Welwyn North (20 mins to KX on direct) gets a massively better service than Hertford. Just can't work out why there isn't one train an hour that is Cuffley and Finsbury Park only before reverting to stopping. Frankly everyone needs t...
