Lower Bengeo Railway Land

Lots of clearance work taking place along the old railway line through Bengeo. The speculation is that it's in preparation for a planning application. The land was sold at auction quite a few years ago. Sadly a prison sentence prevented the owner from developing the land up until now.

This survey appears to be focused very much on houses, which seems odd given that flats make up a large proportion of households. ... I can say no more but it was a wonderful story and one we wanted to use a hook for Hidden Hertford such as they do in Royston. This was over ruled but as Raymond Brown once told a Town Councillor - he being Scottish - 'there's no Loch Ness monster but it hasn't done their tourist trade any harm...

The floors above the old post office are actually part of the Cinnabar Hotel. I had a tour when they first opened and it's vast.
