That's terrible news. Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in the area and the only one in Hertford. OK I admit it, it was my favourite. The restaurant was consistently busy at the weekends, in common with other successful restaurants in Hertford, and did a lively take-away trade, so it is difficult...

A very enjoyable event - the sort of thing that contributes to Hertford being a great town to live in. I'm not sure what is behind the lack of promotion for such events though - maybe it's not necessary, maybe no funding, but I guess there's a thread on this elsewhere as it's not the first time.

Waitrose every time. I wouldn't shop in Tesco on principle though I and Mrs Ff do pop in there occasionally to use the loos - very handy, thank you Tesco. I have tried Sainsburys but was not impressed with the offering or quality. I do agree with Marilyn though that Waitrose can on the odd occasion ...
