Might have made sense to open up the access between car parks by Hartham to allow people to exit onto port hill and then turn right and go around the town centre. As the bottom of Port Hill was gridlocked a temp light there wouldn't have made any difference at all and might even have helped.

I should like to thank the driver of the BMW who seemed to think that going through the flood at Hertford North as fast as he could was a good idea. Trains definitely skip stations on the HN line when there are problems. Ask anyone that uses Bayford Station.

Oh I only commuted for 20 odd years before giving up and driving to and from work.

PS: I don't say this with any joy either. This is my home and I find it sad that a cartel of landlords and supermarkets are driving good independent retailers to the wall.

Well unless one was buying vouchers for hairdressing, facial, nails, meals or drinks, what exactly is there to buy in Hertford. I've lived here many years and have almost given up on it as a shopping destination.
Sorry people, but it it just makes more sense to go further afield half the time.
